How to get to Cala Pola in Tossa de Mar?

By Sea: This cove is an obligatory stop for one of the tourist boats that go on sea excursions from the fishing village of Tossa. In addition, these boats are characterised by their glass bottom to offer tourists spectacular underwater views. The Fondo Cristal, as the boat is called, allows you to reach the cove, spend the day and return to Tossa de Mar whenever you feel like it. They leave from Tossa and Cala Giverola every 30 minutes and stop at Cala Pola.
You can also go paddle surfing or kayaking. Both water activities can be hired from the Mar Menuda beach, or over the internet, from any of the various companies that rent these types of individual boats. Once in the cove, it is possible to access an incredible cave that ends in a small sandy beach.
On foot: Through the camí de ronda, a beautiful path that surrounds the coast, you can reach this fantastic cove on foot with a medium degree of difficulty. Remember to bring comfortable shoes and water for the walk, especially if you do the route in the summer months.
By road: If you are driving from Barcelona or Girona to Cala Pola, take the GI-682 road (Tossa-Sant Feliu de Guíxols). If you don't have a car, you can also take a taxi to Cala Pola.
